Jamu is very popular in Indonesia as a traditional herbal drink to replenish minerals and vitamins to the body for optimal vitality and energy level.
Have you tried it?
ngramu.djamoe kindly sent over Jamu Kunyit Asem (turmeric+tamarind) and Beras Kencur (aromatic galangal+rice) all the way from Indonesia for me to try.
🌸Jamu Kunyit Asem (chilled)
Surprisingly light and refreshing. It’s neither sweet nor bitter. Quite tasty actually. I like!! ❤️
Since turmeric is an anti-inflammatory and high in anti-oxidants, this herbal drink usually used for blood cleansing, reducing pain during menstruation, and immune system booster.
🌸 Jamu Beras Kencur (chilled)
Texture is thicker compared to Kunyit Asem (similar to barley drink’s texture). It tastes like a mixture between ginger and cardamon, not as hot as ginger though, with a hint of sweetness.
It helps to remove fatigue and body sore, helps in weight loss the natural way, and improve immune system.
I drank half a cup of Kunyit Asem in the morning after my breakfast, and half a cup of Beras Kencur in the afternoon after my lunch. I prefer to have them chilled, but you may heat them up if you prefer warm drink.
